I understand very well. My parents are in a care home. Although I visit them often I often see tears. You cannot compare tears of old parents with rain - it's snow, making feel coldness.

Thank you everybody very, very much. I know that this verse is not a clear screenplay, but a wide open scene. I am very happy that nevertheless you found a key to that.

Rudi's thoughts are very interesting for me, 'cause I do agree. I didn't have that special situation in my mind, when I wrote it.

In the beginning the verse used to base on a gun-rampage in Germany some weeks ago. Then I tried to reflect that not only victims had parents and were children, but suspects and doers as well. How do they feel? Does anyboda care? In the end, everybody is parent and/or child. Everybody is involved - and since Columbine we know it is so.

Snow indeed is white and cold. It is sadness. And it melts if there is something warm. The outide is different to the inside - but do we really know what is there?

Well, this comment is much to long now. Just forget it if you just want to feel the verse itself.

Best wishes
Ralf

Your comment isn't too long, Ralf. I am glad to read about your thoughts. Now I cherish your ku even more. My school is situated 10 km from Winnenden-Rampage (I'm teacher) . For my school, pupils, parents this day was terrible.

Warm regards
Rudi
